Forum Title: Should roofers take a siesta?
I watched a guy today almost collapse. I thought he was going to fall off the roof. I guess he got too hot and wasn‚t able to take it. It happened to another guy last week. I keep wondering if we should take a siesta? Either that or a long lunch break during the super hot times. We aren‚t going to have much of a crew if they keep getting sick like this.

It would be nice. But, it‚s not possible. There are only so many hours in a day. We‚ve got to finish the current job so we can move onto the other one. It‚s important that everyone stays hydrated during hot weather. Always make sure you have a cooler with drinks in it.

I‚m always in my truck having to do something. Even if that something is sawing a few logs. Back in the day when everyone had pagers it was great. I‚d pretend to be in charge. I‚d get a page and have to go to the nearest pay phone to answer it.

I usually stop at a gas station on the way to a job site and get a few drinks. I‚m going to have to give up the soda pop for some water or something. A lot of guys seem to like Gatorade.
